Your runs are free
Workflows you run in the editor or on your own EServer use your own compute — unlimited, no per-run charge. Cloud AI tokens are the only thing metered on them.
Cloud AI, metered fairly
Hosted model calls spend credits by their exact token usage, drawn from your monthly allowance. Run your own local models (Ollama, LM Studio) to zero it out — you still hold a paid plan, you just own your costs.
Hosted automations, from your credits
Automations we host for you — triggered by another app (a webhook) or on a schedule — run in an isolated sandbox; their compute draws from the same monthly credit pool as AI, so you manage one balance, not two — at a fraction of what standalone automation platforms charge per run.

Hosted automations (webhooks & schedules) Let another app — or a schedule — trigger your workflow automatically in the cloud. (A “webhook” is just a link another service calls to start your workflow, e.g. a new order or form submission.) Questions
What is a hosted automation run?
It’s a workflow Circuitry runs for you in the cloud when something triggers it — another app calling a link (a “webhook”, e.g. a new order or form submission) or a schedule you set. These run in an isolated sandbox, a capacity-limited resource, so each plan includes a monthly allotment. Anything you run yourself in the editor or on your own EServer never touches that allotment.
Are workflow runs in the editor really free?
Yes. Runs you trigger in the editor, or on an EServer on your own machine, use your own compute and are unlimited and free. The only thing ever metered on those runs is cloud AI: if a run calls a Circuitry-hosted model, those tokens draw from your included credits.
How is AI usage billed?
Each cloud AI call spends credits based on the exact tokens it uses, drawn from your monthly allowance — heavier models cost more credits per call. Want to bring it to zero? Run your own local models (Ollama, LM Studio), or your own hardware via EServer — you pay us for the platform, not for metered cloud tokens.
What if I run low on credits?
AI and hosted automation draw from one pool of monthly credits, so there’s only one balance to watch. We’ll email you as you approach it — no surprises. Top up any time: buy more credits or switch on auto top-up if you subscribe through Stripe, or grab a credit pack through the Apple App Store. Upgrading raises your monthly pool, and it refreshes at the start of each billing cycle.
How does Business team billing work?
Business is $149/mo and includes 3 seats; add more seats any time at $35/seat. Adding or removing seats is handled in your admin console. Cloud credits — covering both AI and hosted automation — are pooled across the whole company rather than locked to each seat. From the admin console you allocate a monthly allowance to each team member, adjust any member’s limit, or grant extra credits at any time — so a heavy user and a light user balance out and no single person can drain the pool. Team plans are billed on the web.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — a free, web-only plan, no card needed. Use every editor in your browser to design and sketch workflows, diagrams and more, with a small storage allowance. It doesn’t include cloud AI or hosted automations — upgrade to Hobby ($9/mo) for cloud AI, or to Personal and up for the full Circuitry Studio IDE — the desktop app today, iPad coming soon — plus your own compute, bigger allowances and more storage. The comparison above shows exactly what each plan adds.
Cloud automation, at a fraction of the going rate
Based on an AI analysis of published pricing across the major workflow-automation platforms, Circuitry runs hosted automations for far less per run — typically under $1 per 1,000 runs, drawn from your monthly credits. Runs in the editor or on your own server are always free.
And Circuitry is much more than a workflow-automation platform — the same subscription is a full studio for designs, documents, code, sheets, chats and more.
| How others bill | Typical published rate |
|---|---|
| Per-step / per-action tools | $1–50 / 1,000 steps |
| Per-execution platforms | $6–9 / 1,000 runs |
| Compute-metered platforms | $15–25 / 1,000 units |
| Circuitry — per whole run, from your credits | under $1 / 1,000 runs |
Approximate, based on an AI analysis of each platform’s published rates for comparable cloud tiers (2026); verify current pricing with each provider. Per-step and per-action tools bill each step, so one multi-step run costs several units — a 5-step run on a premium per-task tool can top $100 per 1,000 runs. Per-execution platforms bill the whole run. Circuitry bills the whole run from your credits; cost varies with run length, but short automations land around $1 per 1,000.
